Lowri Morgan

Lowri Morgan is one of the few people who have had the privilege of visiting the wreck of the Titanic.  She spent amost 10 hours in a MIR submersible in the deep ocean, staring through the glass at the amazing sight. It was a poignant journey; one where she went through a rollercoaster of emotions as she saw children’s shoes sitting on the seabed, alongside china plates and champagne bottles – all obvious reminders of the 1500 lives lost on that fateful journey.

Diving to the bottom of the ocean and seeing the Titanic first-hand, up close, is an experience she will never, ever forget. She reflects that as she stared at this beautiful ship there was an eerie, misty silence that was quite overwhelming remembering that 1500 people lost their lives. She says to actually come face-to-face with one of the most iconic ships in the world, with this beautiful, giant vessel lying on the sea, is such an honour.”
