Television presenter, Morgan Jones, has been presenting a vast range of productions for S4C since 2001.  These including anchoring the annual National Eisteddfod's live coverages – this is the BBC's second largest annual outside broadcast event after Wimbledon and anchoring the live coverage of the annual Urdd Eisteddfod, which is Europe's largest youth cultural festival.

Other cultural productions which Morgan has hosted include Jose Carrerras' and Catherine Jenkins' Gala Concerts at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod; 'Côr Cymru' – S4C's bi-annual National Choir Championship; The Bryn Terfel Scholarship;  The Royal Welsh Show and the ever expanding 'Digwyddiadau' series which follows various musical, agricultural, food and general festivals around Wales.

Morgan has also presented a very popular travel quiz show called 'Dim Ond Un' which involved studio competitors competing against ex-pats around the world via satellite link.  However, for well over a decade , Morgan has mostly been referred to as 'Morgan Sgorio'!  'Sgorio' is S4C's European and Welsh football show which has been running since 1988.

Morgan's dream came true in 2001 when he was offered the job of presenting Sgorio and since that time has had the priviledge of travelling the Continent covering the best football games in the world in the most famous stadium in football: Barcelona v Real Madrid at the Camp Nou;  the Bernabeu, Milan v Inter at the San Siro; Bayern Munich v Dortmund at the Allianz Arena.  Weekly Morgan was visiting the continent to watch his heroes play the beautifull game  and  had the opportunity to interview world stars like Ronaldo, David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Paolo Maldini.

In addition to the long-running weekly Monday night highlights show, since 2008 Sgorio has also been broadcasting live League of Wales games every Saturday, and Morgan had the responsibility of anchoring these productions as well.

Other sports productions which he presents  include the Snowdonia Marathon and the Snowdon Race.

Even though sports and football is a large part of Morgan's professional life, his family is his passion.  He lives with his wife, Cêt  and children, Guto and Cadi in a renovated 17th century farmhouse which stands 100 yards from Trefor beach overlooking the bay of Caernarfon.  Morgan was born and bred in Trefor village on the north coast of the Llŷn peninsula  and, even though his work takes him around the world, there is nothing better on earth than raising his own family on his own patch.

Morgan graduated from Bangor University with a first class BA honours degree in Welsh language and literature in 1994, and in 2000 he was awarded a PhD by the University of Wales for his thesis on a 16th century Welsh poet.

Morgan's interests include running, sea and river fishing, ocean kayaking, reading and he plays the euphonium for Trefor Brass Band.

Morgan Jones is involved in several social enterprises – he is a volunteer/organiser/presenter at the local Uwchgwyrfai Historical Center which produces a monthly audio magazine, CDs, videos and lectures/activities concerning local and Welsh history. Morgan is also the chairman of a new social enterprise aiming to convert a local church into a museum for the granite industry of North West Wales. Morgan also organizes revents for the RNLI Station.

Morgan is the chairman of the village primary school where his father used to be the Head and his wife is a teacher. His translating business regularly works on educational material (Morgan is currently translating Math's challenges for pupils on behalf of Techniquest).

Morgan is a keen runner and cyclist. He will be cycling across England (coast to coast) in a few weeks to raise money for one of Liverpool's hospitals. In July he'll be on his bike for the annual Cyclone event which he organizes to raise money for the local RNLI station - this year they will be cycling around the Gwynedd boundary, which is approx 240 miles.
