Andrew is a television presenter, motivational coach and speaker, Bushcraft and survival Instructor, Mountain leader adventurer and naturalist.

Andrew Co-Hosted the Bafta nominated ITV Wales series Coast and Country for 7 years and has recently been working as a survival safety consultant for Indian based Banijay Productions on the Bear Grylls "Into the Wild" series for Discovery India. Additionally, he has featured as a contributor and specialist expert on many television programmes including: BBC Wales X-Ray, Mystic Britain (Smithsonian Channel) Holidays at Home (BBC), Britains Favourite View (BBC), Time Team (Channel 4), Wales in Four Seasons (BBC), Griff Rhys Jones Welsh adventure (ITV), Warwick Davis Weekend Adventures (ITV), Spartacus, (The History Channel), Underground Britain, (BBC) and Coast (BBC).

Andrew’s interest in outdoor living and adventure started at a very young age while foraging for mussels with his grandfather, and later with his father who taught him how to catch mackerel and sea bass off the South Gower Coast from an ancient (and slightly leaky) canvas and wood kayak. These early experiences sowed the seeds of enthusiasm for a life of adventure, wilderness living skills, history, and love for the natural world.

Andrew is one of the UK’s leading Bushcraft and Survival instructors, founding his survival and bushcraft school Dryad Bushcraft in 2004. He specialises in training for individuals and groups in practical skills such as fire lighting, safe tool handling, water purification, natural navigation, wild food foraging and other wilderness survival and primitive living skills. Andrew is also the editor of the internationally distributed publication “Bushcraft and Survival Skills Magazine” and an honorary fellow of Cardiff University Archaeology Department.

Since the Covid-19 Pandemic Andrew has been working on a revolutionary new nature therapy project that focusses on improving the mental health of people who have been adversely affected by lockdowns. He and his team aim to improve the wellbeing of those suffering from low level mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, through a combination of Bushcraft skills and outdoor activities, virtual workshops and online video's.

Andrew speaks on Preparedness. Until quite recently the concept of Preparedness or "Prepping" was relatively unknown on this side of the Atlantic and for most people the term would have been associated with negative perceptions of paranoid heavily armed survivalist types, waiting for the apocalypse in a well-stocked bunker.
