Owain Gwynedd is an experienced TV presenter, reporter and commentator.
Owain is regularly seen roaming around different sporting venues for various broadcasters. Anchoring Prime Video’s Welsh language coverage of Wales’ ‘Autumn Nation Series’ rugby, reporting on the United Rugby Championship for Viaplay or for BBC’s Final Score football round-up show.
Owain is a versatile and established presenter on S4C. Along with presenting, reporting and commentating on the Welsh language channel’s sporting output, he’s been one of the lead anchor presenters on their daily magazine programmes Prynhawn Da (Good Afternoon) and s poetry to medical issues and fashion to cookery.
Owain’s professional highlight came in 2015 when he was a pitch side reporter in the ‘Rugby World Cup’ in England for S4C. He was the first broadcaster to interview the retiring New Zealanders Dan Carter (‘World Player of the Year’) and World Cup winning captain Ritchie McCaw on television.
Owain Gwynedd, a Cardiff University Law graduate, also holds a private pilot’s licence.
